Susan Blank, MD

Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Atlanta Healing Center
Founder and Chief Medical Officer for the Atlanta Healing Center. A graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, she completed a residency in Psychiatry and Neurology at Sheppard Pratt Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She received her training in Forensics at the University of Virginia, and her training in Addiction Medicine in Atlanta at the Talbott Recovery Campus. She also completed a Fellowship and Advance Fellowship training in Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Blank is Immediate Past President of the Georgia Society of Addiction Medicine, the Program Planning Committee  and Chair of the Tobacco/Nicotine Committee for the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and ASAM Chapter’s Council. She is co-chair of the Medical Association of Georgia’s “Think About It Campaign-education of Health Care providers about proper prescribing of opioids and high-risk medication.”  She is also a past member of the Board of Directors for The Georgia Council on Alcohol and Drugs and Let’s Be Clear Georgia. Dr. Blank and Dr. Lori Karan co-authored the chapter on Tobacco and Nicotine Addiction for the ASAM Patient Criteria released in September 2013 and the ASAM Tobacco Guidelines in February 2022. Dr. Blank is a contributor to the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians Opioid Prescribing Guidelines, published in March 2017 and 2022, and is a member of the Technical Expert Panel for PCPI Preventive Care guidelines for Tobacco Cessation, Influenza Immunizations and Alcohol Screening.

She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Addiction Medicine, The American Board of Preventive Medicine-Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Board of Forensic Examiners, a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association,  a Distinguished Fellow of American Society of Addiction Medicine, a Fellow of the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and a Certified Medical Review Officer.

Atlanta Healing Center’ın Kurucusu ve Baş Tıbbi Sorumlusu olan Dr. Blank, Georgia Tıp Fakültesi mezunu. Uzmanlık eğitimini Psikiyatri ve Nöroloji alanında Baltimore, Maryland’deki Sheppard Pratt Hastanesi’nde tamamlamıştır. Adli Tıp alanında eğitimini Virginia Üniversitesi’nde, Bağımlılık Tıbbı alanında eğitimini ise Atlanta’daki Talbott Recovery Campus’te almıştır. Dr. Blank, Georgia Bağımlılık Tıbbı Derneği’nin Geçmiş Başkanıdır, Amerikan Bağımlılık Tıbbı Derneği için Program Planlama Komitesi ve Tütün/Nikotin Komitesi Başkanlığı görevlerini yürütmüş,ve ASAM Chapter’s Council üyeliği yapmıştır. Aynı zamanda, opioid ve yüksek riskli ilaçların doğru reçetelenmesi konusunda sağlık hizmeti sağlayıcılarını eğitmeye yönelik “Think About It Campaign” kampanyasının eş başkanlığını yapmıştır ve Medical Association of Georgia üyesidir. Dr. Blank ayrıca, Georgia Alkol ve Uyuşturucu Konseyi ve Let’s Be Clear Georgia’nın Yönetim Kurulu üyeliği yapmıştır. Dr. Blank ve Dr. Lori Karan, Eylül 2013’te yayınlanan “ASAM Hasta Kriterleri için Tütün ve Nikotin Bağımlılığı” üzerine bir bölüm yazmış, ve Şubat 2022’de “ASAM Tütün Rehberi”ni yayınlamışlardır. Dr. Blank, Mart 2017 ve 2022’de yayınlanan Amerikan Müdahaleci Ağrı Fizyolojistleri Opioid Reçetelendirme Rehberlerine katkıda bulunmuş ve Tütün Bırakma, Grip Aşılaması ve Alkol Taraması için PCPI Önleyici Bakım rehberlerinin Teknik Uzmanlar Paneli üyesidir.

Dr. Blank, Amerikan Psikiyatri ve Nöroloji Kurulu, Amerikan Bağımlılık Tıbbı Kurulu, Amerikan Koruyucu Tıp- Bağımlılık Tıbbı Kurulu ve Amerikan anti-aging ve Rejeneratif Tıp Kurulu tarafından Diplomat olarak sertifikalandırılmıştır. Ayrıca Amerikan Adli Muayene Uzmanları Kurulu Fellow’udur, Amerikan Psikiyatri Derneği Seçkin Fellow’udur, Amerikan Bağımlılık Tıbbı Derneği Seçkin Fellow’udur, Amerikan Anti-Aging ve Rejeneratif Tıp Akademisi Fellow’udur ve Sertifikalı Bir Tıbbi İnceleme Sorumlusudur.
